guards as they were walking home from Sabbath prayers at the
Cave of the Patriarchs. The dead included civilian worshipers
and soldiers, some of whom were caught in an ambush as they
pursued the attackers. Three terrorists were killed in the
attack, which was claimed by the Islamic Jihad.

the kitchen service door, and shot dead the four unarmed
students. The two terrorists from the Islamic Jihad, which
claimed responsibility for the attack, were killed by IDF
forces. Ten others, including six soldiers, were wounded in the
attack.
